You Have Questions – We Have the Answers
We regularly review and update our frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Nothing in particular. Admission includes the use of a locker and one towel. Bathing shoes, additional towels and bathrobes are available at reception for an additional charge.
Shower gel, hair gel and hairdryers are available to all guests free of charge. You can therefore visit us spontaneously without bringing your own sauna bag.
You must be at least 18 years old. We offer reduced admission prices for Youngsters aged 24 and under, as well as for school pupils and students. Please bring valid proof of eligibility.
Please use one of the nearby public car parks. Unfortunately, there are no guest parking spaces available in our courtyard.
For hygiene reasons, condoms and lubricant are not left out openly. Both are available free of charge from the service window next to the entrance to the bar area.
This cannot be predicted reliably. The number and mix of guests depend on factors such as the day of the week, time of day, weather and scheduled events. We are also unable to provide information by telephone about the age or composition of the guests currently present.
You do not need cash during your visit. Food and drinks are recorded electronically using your key number. The full amount is settled at reception when you leave the sauna.
Our 10-Visit Passes are valid for two years and are transferable.
Yes. We offer a variety of beers and selected spirits. Please note that guests who are heavily intoxicated may be refused admission or asked to leave.
No. We are a wellness venue with our own food and beverage service. Bringing in and consuming your own food or drinks is therefore not permitted.
No. Only classic massages and wellness massages are offered.
Unfortunately, our venue is not wheelchair accessible. There are several steps at the entrance, and various passageways and areas inside the sauna are not suitable for wheelchairs.
You can always find our current opening hours and any special arrangements for public holidays on our website and in our daily schedule. We are generally open 363 days a year. Achilleus is closed only on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Please take care of your health. Even a cold, fever, circulation problems or other medical conditions may make a sauna visit unsuitable. If you are unsure, please seek medical advice beforehand and visit us only once you are feeling completely well again.
Trans men are welcome during our regular opening days.
Every Thursday, we hold our UNISEX Day | HÜ. On this day, everyone aged 18 and over is welcome, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Special participation and registration conditions apply to the UNISEX Day.
Achilleus is primarily a gay sauna for men.
However, our UNISEX Day | HÜ takes place every Thursday. On this day, women, men, couples and singles aged 18 and over are welcome.
On all other days, our venue is exclusively for men.
Achilleus is a gay sauna for men six days a week. Thursday is deliberately designed as a special mixed event day.
With the UNISEX Day | HÜ, we broaden our programme and allow women and mixed-gender couples to visit our sauna as well. At the same time, we appeal to a wider audience and create a different and varied atmosphere once a week.
As a business, we must also continue developing our services in an economically sustainable and future-oriented way. A successful event day helps us operate Achilleus attractively in the long term and maintain and improve our services for all guests.
Since Achilleus remains exclusively for men on six days of the week, we ask our guests to respect this one mixed day and its event concept. Openness, diversity and mutual tolerance are fundamental values for us.
The UNISEX Day | HÜ is a separate event with its own pricing and event concept.
The reduced admission price for women is intended to encourage women to attend this event and help create a genuinely mixed audience. The pricing structure is therefore part of the overall event concept.
We also offer various special rates and promotions on other days, including the Early Bird rate, Youngster rate, school pupil and student rate, and Late Entry rate. Each of these offers applies to particular groups of guests or specific times.
The lower admission price for women on Thursdays is therefore not a disadvantage for male guests, but an event-specific pricing arrangement.
The couple rate displayed on JOYclub is not a discount.
It is simply the total of the regular admission price for one woman and the regular admission price for one man. The combined price category is intended solely to simplify registration and check-in for a female–male couple.
This price category therefore cannot be applied to two men. For a male couple, each guest is charged the individual admission price applicable to them.
A couple registration is also valid only if both registered guests arrive together.
Yes. Prior registration through JOYclub is generally required for the UNISEX Day | HÜ.
To receive confirmation, your profile must include a clearly recognisable photograph of your face. For couple registrations, both registered guests must be clearly recognisable.
If your profile does not contain a suitable photograph, you may submit one separately by JOYclub message or by email to info@achilleus-sauna.de. Your registration must state that the photograph has been sent separately.
Admission cannot be guaranteed without confirmed registration. An additional surcharge may apply to spontaneous walk-in guests without prior registration.
No. Achilleus is a gay sauna for men six days a week. Only Thursday is organised as a mixed event day.
The UNISEX Day does not replace our fundamental concept as a gay sauna. It simply adds a special event day for a wider audience to our weekly programme.
We ask all guests to respect different event concepts and target groups. Diversity, openness and mutual tolerance should be natural values, particularly within our community.
